(FOUR) NOTHING COOL
Maybe we won’t get any real closure. We’ll get some, but things still go on in the Hendricks world. There is still drama, there is still money issues, and there is still hassles. I know things are off their rocker with Bill making the announcement at the end of Season 4, but maybe the show will just end with things getting back to “normal”. That would suck, but would be realistic. I hope I’m wrong about this one.
(THREE) BECOMES LOVED
Have them mention the polygamist reality show and accept it. Embrace the pop culture acceptance of their lifestyle. Some people will look down on them, but the overall interest in the “weirdness” of their home life could make Bill and the family celebrities in vein of the Palins. Hell, we can even tease a Presidential run. This is unlikely as hell though.
(TWO) QUICK DECLINE
We know it’s the last season. Over the past four seasons we’ve watched Bill work towards and claw towards some pretty big things. I think with this big move of his, it’s time for something to finally backfire. We can see them lose everything. First he’s kicked out of office, then he loses the casino, then he loses all but one Home Plus, then he has to have the family move into a small living space, then he losing the last store, then… the wives start leaving in descending order. Margie goes off, then Nicky when the money is gone, and then Barb. Maybe even have him being left outside a gas station like the story goes with him being kicked out as a teenager. A full circle of decline would be interesting.
(ONE) JUNIPER CREEK
One seemingly obvious way is to have Bill basically become Roman Grant. He sells out his family and his former moral code in order to obtain as much power as possible. Everyone leaves him except Nicky. He and Nicky move back to Juniper Creek where he takes it over and even puts on the cowboy hat. That’s the arch we’re at. Bill is becoming more and more vile of a person and I can’t see Margie and Barb wanting to stay with him.
