(FOUR) MARCH MADNESS
I don’t like college basketball and more than likely you’re lying if you claim you do. Unless you’re alumni or in a regional location with too much free time, you’re not really into college basketball. You didn’t tune in for “Midnight Madness” and odds are you haven’t heard Dick Vitale’s voice in awhile. This does not matter. When March Madness comes around EVERYONE is an “expert”. Everyone has their picks and predictions and everyone knows the same four facts about the same four NBA bound players. Oh! And there will probably be the scrappy underdog that’ll get the country behind it. It happens every year just the same. On the bright side, you’re almost guaranteed to see at least three people cry per game. That’s what Vegas should really be betting on.
(THREE) RAW AFTER WRESTLEMANIA
Wrestlemania is the big one, but the Monday Night RAW after Wrestlemania is notoriously one of the most important shows of the year. It used to be where new stories started, where new guys debut and start their push, where old people come back, and basically it used to be the much needed reset button. Now-a-day, it’s still kind of true, kind of not. After Mania now, we get three months of rematches. I’m still optimistic and I’m still going to watch.
(TWO) NBA ALLSTAR WEEKEND
The NBA All Star game is always fun. We get the best of the best in a game where defense is a bad word. It always feels like 10 players on each team go out and goof off while 2 on each go hard at getting the MVP of the night. Lots of undefended dunks, ally-oops, and all the fun stuff. It’s just like a video game except we have no control over the pause button. The real importance is the night before. The dunk contest is where it’s at. Sometimes it’s dull, but more times than not it’s awesome. With that and the 3 point contest it almost makes up for them trying to squeeze the WNBA into things.
(ONE) WRESTLEMANIA
Was there any doubt? Wrestlemania is like pizza. Even when it’s bad, it’s still decent. Granted, no one ever remembers decent pizza a week later, it was good while it lasted. It’s all about those “Wrestlemania moments”. If we can squeeze out a few from a very boring product you really can’t complain. You always have to go into watching a Wrestlemania with some child-like innocence and hope. In today’s WWE, you’re almost guaranteed to be let down if you have half a brain… but still! It’s Wrestlemania! The stuff that you don’t expect seems to always pop off and make waves.
