(FOUR) TWITTER
I don’t get it. I can almost understand facebook because it allows you do more and show more, but if Twitter isn’t the most self indulgent creation since the mirror I don’t know what is. Witty banter is only banter when there is an actual communication. For a short 140 character message you can let the world know EXACTLY what you’re doing….or you can be REALLY vague and no one will know what you’re talking about, but who cares right? They just read words YOU typed! Wow!
(THREE) BOXING
I don’t get it. It’s 2011. Are people still punching each other in their faces for money and ugly as shit looking championship belts? I would have thought all the pseudo toughies would have moved on to MMA because it’s more sensual and “hands on”.
(TWO) DANCE SHOWS
I don’t get it. Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and the one for fat people. It’s just weird to think of people comfy on a couch all night watching people already in better shape than then dance. I get that dancing is somewhat of an art form, but they’re not really displaying the artistic side. It’s a two hour popularity contest that the networks are making crazy advertising revenue on.
(ONE) THE LENGTH OF THE MLB SEASON
I don’t get it. Is it 164? 162? I have no idea. Whatever it is, it’s too damn much. I can appreciate baseball, but there is just too much for too long. How about we cut the game amount in half and an add an extra outfielder or an extra inning or something. I really don’t care what is done, but after THAT much of it it’s hard not to admit that baseball is boring. The less is more theory comes to mind here.
