(FOUR) DEXTER
Dexter is one of my favorite shows of all time. Of course the greedy fan in me wants him to just leave Miami and go to a new town to terrorize for another five or six seasons and then move on to another. Like I said, big fan. In all reality though, I don’t want this show to ever not be as awesome as it is and has been. If the show starts to suck then it’ll leave a tarnish on what’s been done over the past five seasons. I’m just really nervous about how the show ends. Pins and needles. Pins and needles.
(THREE) HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER
I really love this show, but I think if it ended within the next season or two it could go out REALLY strong. This is one of those shows that’s going to live in syndication forever. It’s the next generation’s “Friends”. I think I just really would like to find out who “your mother” is. At this point just WHO is good enough for Ted? The expectations are high as hell.
(TWO) WEEDS
They say the upcoming seventh season MIGHT be the last. I’m going to be annoying like every other Weeds fan and say the obvious here… The show sucked once they left Agrestic. It did. There’s no denying that. The venture down to Mexico and all the cartel stuff was just lame. The show ruined Mary-Louise Parker for me. She is just a horrible person on the show, hidden in the thin veil guise of “doing I gotta do for my family”. Whatever. She’s just a horrible person. Then I have to wonder if her character isn’t a little too close to the real thing. I don’t know her or anything, but I have to ask why all the supporting cast keeps leaving. First Romany Malco’s “Conrad” and his family were on and gone and then we lose the awesome Elizabeth Perkins? There’s something weird going on over there. The last season was decent. It was fun to see them on the run, but at this point the past few seasons has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’m just vying time for it to be all over.
(ONE) THE OFFICE
This show ran its course like two seasons ago. I’m not saying The Office hasn’t been any good in the past two seasons. The characters are enjoyable enough and the writing is funny enough for the show to be on for another ten years. It seems that’s exactly what they’re hoping for. To me the show lost all steam when Jim and Pam got married or hell before that when Jim became co-manager with Michael. The star of the show, Steve Carell is gone. I’m sure they’ll run the course of finding a new boss for as long as possible. They’re throwing tons of cameos in there to distract us from the fact the show has to direction. Even if it does, do we really need it at this point?
