(FOUR) COOL COLORS
Red. White. Blue. What more could you want? Those are the best colors. I like my greens and purples and greys and blacks a little more, but from a pure impact and marketing stand point red and blue are the colors to go with. White is a cool balance between the two. Our colors are just cooler than everyone elses. Our flag is stars and stripes. No weird symbols, no animals, no bullshit. Nothing against any other country, but America has the colors on lock down.
(THREE) BETTER MONEY
We have dollars. Dollars are awesome. I’m not talking “the value of the US dollar versus other currency”. I’m talking pure aesthetics here. Foreign money just seems fake, a little too colorful, and shaped weird. I like the predominately green bill way more than the other nonsense. Our money about ten years ago was cooler than it us now, but I still like what we’re working with more than the “loony” or “the euro” or the “ducket” or the “peco”.
(TWO) FREEDOM
They say we have “freedom” in America and we totally do. It’s just the laws and moral compass of the country sometimes gets in the way of that FULL freedom. Gays are starting to be able to get married, which is cool, but it should have happened LONG ago. A lot of other countries most Americans would stick their noses up to are way more tolerant towards sexuality, certain recreational drugs, health care, etc. etc. etc. Regardless of the law, we still have the freedom to run our months about anything. Opinions are a plenty.
(ONE) HOLLYWOOD
I’m not saying other countries don’t have good entertainment. The Brits have some great stuff. Their style of comedy is great, but the best of the UK doesn’t come close to the best of the USA. I think they’re a bit more reserved in tone and we just go all out. I love Monty Python, but I’d prefer the original line up of SNL. I loved The Office, but I really love The Office. I’m a big fan of “The IT Crowd”, “Peep Show”, and a few other English shows. I’m not being bias here. I’m open minded to stuff, but I’m realistic. Music though? That’s a whole different story…
