"Top 4 James Franco Films"

(FOUR) DATE NIGHT
I didn’t see the movie about him cutting off his arm. I saw the special about the real guy on TV and it’s too hard to watch and I know the ending. In the same respect, I’ve not seen Titanic or Passion of the Christ. I know what happens and I know it won’t be pretty. Everything leading to the big moment is nothing I need to see. I’m sure he rocks in it though. So I go with Date Night. He’s a supporting star in it, but it’s a fun one. He and Mila Kunis play a great young and dumb criminal couple. Funny stuff in a funny movie.

(THREE) HOWL
I don’t think many people saw this, but I’m glad to have. He rocks it as Allen Ginsgerg. The movie is edited weirdly and the story is pieced together in an odd way, but it’s really well done. The supporting cast is strong, but Franco loses himself in Ginsberg. The cadence in his voice is amazing. This is one of those movies that people with AT LEAT half a brain need to see. Do YOU have AT LEAST half a brain? Yeah? Prove it! Watch this movie.

(TWO) SPIDER-MAN
All three of them summed up here. Harry Osborn’s character was much more interesting than the same old bland Spiderman. I enjoyed these movies, but the character delopment was bad. The loss of his father to the hands of his best friend, the loss of his girl to the hands of his best friend, and then he finds out Spiderman IS his best friend. That dude was so screwed over from the start. What did he really do that was so wrong besides be a good guy and remain loyal? No matter how screwed up things got or who screwed him over he still took one of the team at the end. Good stuff.

(ONE) PINEAPPLE EXPRESS
I don’t care what you think about me. Pineapple Express is the James Franco movie I enjoy the most. I could have included Milk, but I just didn’t enjoy that movie. I think it was a bit overrated and came off a little too Oscar bait-ish. Pineapple Express was amazing. He played a more Scooby-Do version of his character from Freaks and Geeks. He’s a great gigglely stoner. Sure it’s a stoner stereotype, but how can you not love this guy? I want to see like five sequels to this movie right now. Seriously, I have ten hours to spare. Let’s go!
