(FOUR) NORMAL UPBRINGING
Lauren Graham is pretty awesome. She was born in Hawaii to a fashion designer and candy industry lobbyist. Graham was then moved to Washington, DC and traveled a lot while growing up. She got into acting while in elementary school, and more so in high school, and then in community theatre and small productions. She went to college and studied acting and ended up getting a Master of Fine Arts in Acting Performance.
(THREE) PAID DUES
After school she moved back to New York and was a waitress to make ends meet while pursuing acting. She did some failed sitcoms for a little while before landing a lot of higher profile guest star spots including “3rd Rock From The Sun”, “Caroline in the city”, and “Seinfeld”. It would be 2000 when she got the role on “Gilmore Girls”. This pretty much secured her place in TV history.
(TWO) GILMORE AND MORE AND MORE
This show is off the air, but it’s in syndication and I’ll even go as far as crediting the dialogue in the show as much to say that without it there’d be no “Juno”. The fast talk, smart ass, quirky talk took off because of this show. There’s much more to the show than that, I’m sure, but that’s just one of a couple ways she’s made an impact.
(ONE) NOW A DAYS
She did movies such as “Sweet November”, “Evan Almighty”, “Because I Said So”, and “Bad Santa” to name a few. She bounced around a lot, but always kept busy after her hit show, but found herself casted on the NBC show “Parenthood”. With her, her show brother and real like boyfriend Peter Krause, Dax Sheppard, and the other awesome people cast on the show and the so far so goodness of it I don’t see this show going away any time soon. That’s fine by me. I’d also love to see her in some move movie roles. There is no reason she can’t do it all. She has been for years.
