(FOUR) GET OUT OF THE SOUTH
I know they’re slowly starting to tape shows here outside of Florida. The problem is that TNA gives off this southern vibe. It’s not that they’re “too” tied into NASCAR, but it’s just a really overwhelming connection. Too much of a southern, NASCAR, country music, tea party vibe going on there. The roster isn’t all hillbilly redneck types. There are a few twangs in some voices, but nothing too overwhelming. It still gives a huge “yee-haw!” vibe. I don’t want to see that.
(THREE) BAN THE HARDYS, HOGAN, ANGLE AND ANYONE OVER 40
Old wrestlers and junkies don’t die…. They go to TNA. To be fair though, older guys like Christopher Daniels, RVD, and Kurt Angle can all still work a decent and entertaining match but why not let go of them when they’re not embarrassing themselves. They leave the spotlight without leaving a bad taste in our mouths. Meanwhile guys like Hogan, Sting, Flair, and even the younger Hardys go out there and embarrass themselves, the company, and aren’t drawing shit. They say TNA is “the alternative”. Ha.
(TWO) FIRMLY PRESS THE RESET BUTTON
It’s a crazy idea, but TNA should reset. Vacate all the titles, drop about half the roster, switch up some characters, and give yourself a brand new day one. This is extreme but it makes so much sense. If we’re already getting rid of all the old guys then the roster is and show is going to look like swiss cheese. Instead of re-establishing, they can just build up from the ashes.
(ONE) DIFFERENT NIGHT/TWO ONE HOUR SHOWS
I forget about TNA being on. I’d most likely always pick something else to watch, but I forget it’s even an option. Thursday is seriously the worst day for TNA to be on. The drama and cop shows get their time and then NBC comedy lineup is as strong as it’s been since the “Must See TV” era. There’s the stuff on cable too. Why do you think Vince moved Smackdown from Thursday to Friday? There might have been other reasons, but if you think Vince can’t get what he wants then you don’t know enough about wrestling to finish reading this. The point is that TNA should try to get on another night. If Spike TV won’t do it, then split it up and have an hour on Thursday and an hour on Tuesday. Another reason is that I have a hard time watching TNA for more than an hour before getting so bored with it that I don’t want to watch it again for another few weeks. Also, why not throw some late night replays out there in the middle of the Manswers and Entourage marathons.
