It was either Elliot Smith or Emmitt Smith. Do I go with the “Needle in the Hay” guy or the “Your stash is trash!” old man running back? The song is now stuck in my head, so Elliot Smith wins.
(THREE) DAVEY BOY SMITH
“The British Bulldog” is the only reason I know how to spell British. He has to be one of the biggest superstars in wrestling not to win the World Title. I was always a casual fan of Davey Boy. He was never my favorite, but I don’t really ever remembering a time being upset he was wrestling or really bored. He was part of some really cool matches and some forgettable, but overall I think he’s pretty underrated.
(TWO) KEVIN SMITH
Kevin Smith is a huge influence in my stuff. I love his movies with a passion and he’s just an interesting guy. How can you not appreciate at least one of his movies on some level? Along with taking a cheap indie he made with friends to a successful filmmaking career he does stuff with comic books, podcasts, speaking engagements, and other randomness.
(ONE) WILL SMITH
I remember a very specific conversation from years ago. One wise man said that some people are born with a lot of talents and some aren’t. He went into more detail talking about how when people are made they are generally given a talent, but due to some poor saps being given none others will get the left overs. Will Smith has the talent of like 10 men. He’s not my favorite actor. He’s not my favorite singer. He’s not my favorite anything, but I think it’s impossible to really hate on the guy. He’s likeable as hell and seems to be having the time of his life every time I’ve seen him on in anything. Easily the coolest “Smith” out there…
