(FOUR) THAT WRESTLING SHOW
I’m not going to lie. When this show first started I didn’t give it much of a chance. It just wasn’t on my radar at start. Then they had a wrestling themed episode right in the middle of the Attitude era. Of course I had to watch it. I think I saw the other handful of episodes before this one, but didn’t pay attention until I watched this one. It had The Rock AND Ken Shamrock! Awesome.
(THREE) SLEEPOVER
Tommy Chong’s “Leo” character was awesome. He played a cashed out hippie perfectly. Maybe it was a bit of stunt casting at start, but he would go on to become one of the best characters on the show at times. He fit right in to their world and you’d forget he was Tommy Chong, even while he was playing a stoner. That’s impressive. This episode is his first appearance. His stuff in the photo shack was hilarious!
(TWO) STREAKING
I don’t think I saw this the first time around. I know I caught it in reruns and had no idea it was only the third episode of the series. What a great episode? I think this one captures the spirit of the show perfectly. President Gerald Ford? Streaking? American flag jumpsuits? Yeah… that’s what I’m talking about!
(ONE) BACKSTAGE PASS
Donna was working for the radio station at this point and Eric was still feeling insecure and jealous about things. She gets a backstage pass to meet Ted Nugent leaving Eric alone and by himself. Meanwhile, Fez pisses Hyde off by ruining their bootleg T-shirt scheme by spelling it “Tad Nugget” or something horrible like that. Kelso and Jackie had their thing and so did Red and Kitty. This is one of those episodes where the show was firing on all cylinders and everything was just as it should be.
