(FOUR) PARODY SCREAM QUEEN
Her first big break was being cast as the lead in the 2000 horror parody “Scary Movie”. Her character was a parody of the dark-haired Neve Campbell from Scream. The movie ended up being a huge hit and they would go on to make THREE MORE sequels. It didn’t win her any Oscars or anything, but it put her in front of a lot of people and got her out there in a big way. Even after the first one or two, she started getting some pretty interesting and big roles, but she always went back and kept reliving the role of “Cindy Campbell”.
(THREE) TAKEN HOME TONIGHT
On the set of the movie “Take Me Home Tonight” she met Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt. They hit it off pretty well and got engaged in January of 09 and married in July. They seem to really dig each and both keep popping up in more and more roles. Good for both of them.
(TWO) KID MOVIES
She has a natural happiness to her. She just seems like a positive spirit and child-like in her tenderness. Basically, she seems like a down to earth stoner chick. To take a break from her weird indie roles, Scary Movies, and the like she has popped up in a few kid movies. She does a voice in both of the Alvin and the Chipmunk movies and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. She physically appears in the horrible Yogi Bear movie. It wasn’t her fault it was horrible though…
(ONE) AWESOME INDIES
She is grossly perfect in her role in Observe and Report. She’s a blazed out perfect stoner in Smiley Face. She is an actress promoting an action movie in Lost in Translation. She’s a likeable waitress in Waiting. She is a weird wacko lesbian in May. I can go on and on. She rocks her roles well. She doesn’t always have the lead, but when she’s on screen she’s a huge plus to any movie.
