(FOUR) VISIBLE BREATH
I used to loved being able to see my breath as a little kid. I think I enjoyed it so much as a kid that I still find a weird amusement out of it as an adult. I went through a smoking phase in my life and could see my breath all year long. I almost want to blame winter breath for like .001% of my past smoking habits. Whatever. I enjoy it.
(THREE) SLEEPING IN
There is something about sleeping in during the winter that’s just awesome. I think it’s the warm Bear-like hibernation of being all cozy in your bed as the outside world is covered in ice and despair. The night comes sooner and it just feels like it’s much easier to go to bed and just go into a great sleep coma during the winter.
(TWO) WARM ACCESSORIES
I like wearing layers. I don’t know why. I like light jackets, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, ear muffs, and things like that. I think it’s the idea of having all this extra accessories on you that’s sorta superhero-ish. You can always get warmer. Just add a layer.
(ONE) SNOW
A view of trees with snow on the branches is one of the best views you’ll ever see. There is just something old school-heartwarming about a nice view of a snow covered nature. It’s not just the rural areas either. It’s like Mother Nature’s way of keeping you on your toes. It makes us face an uncontrollable element in our modern days of ultimate convenience and excessive technology. Snow is cold, wet, gets gross, and all that. I’m sure every winter, no matter how enthusiastic I am about it, I do get tired of the snow. I just wouldn’t want to experience a year without it.
