(FOUR) JON FAVREAU
I love Jon Favreau. He’s been consistent when it comes to quality in production and performance. Swingers is one of my favorite movies, I dug Iron Man, and I even watched Dinner For Five. There is no denying that “Cowboys & Aliens” was a huge messy bomb. I genuinely believe he’ll just bounce right back up. It made its money back and then some, but companies don’t put over 150 million into a movie production hoping to make a little return. In time it’ll make more money on DVD and really it’s not a “flop” as industry folks would say. I’m judging based on reviews and the let down that came after a pretty big push and rise of expectations. This movie was supposed to be HUGE. Let’s hope it becomes a cult classic of sorts.
(THREE) CHARIE SHEEN
Remember when Charlie Sheen was crazy and had a TV show? Those were the days. Then he had to go and get fired from the TV show and go completely ape shit. At first it was fun. Everyone was in on the joke. Then slowly and surely everyone realized that it had gone too far and this guy was sadly going to kill himself. I think he sorta mellowed out, but it’s going to be pretty hard for him to regain that same “Two and Half Men” level of fame of fortune. He’s done it before though so anything is possible. There’s a good chance he’ll become an ongoing novelty now. He just may have gone too far with the craziness.
(TWO) REBUPLICANS
It’s like they’re just screwing with us now. It’s a given they’re going to feed a lame duck candidate to Obama for his second term. As open racism… er “political difference” rises, it’s dumb to think that Mr. “Remember, I did take out Osama” is going to NOT get a second term. Sarah Palin was already a joke, but was around for awhile. The debates have been nothing but talk show fodder. This one is crazy, this one is dull, this one doesn’t have answers, this one has dumb young people brainwashed, this one is flat out stupid, this one is named after baseball equipment. Then Donald Trump gets involved too? Yeesh! It’s like shooting fish in barrels FULL of fish.
