(FOUR) FIXER-UPPERS
In 2004, Keaton spoke out against plastic surgery saying that she’s more into the idea of staying natural. At the same time, she’s all about restoring old history buildings in the Los Angeles area. Isn’t that just a tiny little bit hypocritical?
(THREE) ROOTS
Born in LA she had a fairly normal childhood. She was inspired to act after seeing her mom win the “Mrs. Los Angeles” pageant for homemakers. With that, Katharine Hepburn, and getting bit with the acting bug she knew what wanted. She acted in school productions until graduating. She went to college for a little while, but dropped out to go after her dreams. She moonlighted in a nightclub act and sung. She did more workshops and stage stuff for awhile. She auditioned and narrowly got the role in Woody Allen’s Play It Again Sam. From there she was pretty much unstoppable.
(TWO) WOODY
She’d keep working with Woody Allen. She rocked it in Woody’s movies. Especially 1977’s Annie Hall. Her signature style in that movie became a huge fashion trend. I’m fairly certain that all female comedians from the 80’s in the VERY least “borrowed” some of their “image” from that iconic movie. I could be wrong, but let’s face it… I’m talking about YOU Paula Poundstone!
(ONE) IT DOESN’T END THERE
We’d be crazy to ignore the fact that she had a role in the Godfather movies. Her role wasn’t huge, but her presence was an added treat. She’s done so many movies since that’s hard to comprehend. She’s done some wacky comedies, some romantic comedies, drama, and just about everything outside of horror. If she decided to do horror, I’m pretty sure she’d be great at it as well. She IS Diane Keaton…
