(FOUR) JESTER WINTER HATS
Those really lame raver jester hats aren’t what I’m talking about. I’m talking about good thick and warm cloth that’s worthy of being part of one’s winter wear. In the late 90’s/early 00’s, the random jester hat in the winter or random oversized top hat wouldn’t be too big of a deal. I’m pretty sure they’d be crucified if they did it now. I miss the ballsy gaudiness of it.
(THREE) NON-IRONIC BEAT BOXING
The only beat boxing I hear now is via jokes or someone being ironic about it. I miss the old days of rappers using beat boxing as a medium. I know guys like Kenny Muhammad and Razell are out there, but they’re not featured NEARLY as much as they should be. Instead we’ll get douche bags saying “drop me a beat” to get a laugh. Beat boxing is no joke. Dammit!
(TWO) MIKE TYSON’S PUNCH OUT
I’m talking the Mike Tyson one… NOT the generic one. You’d play that one and have the same problems and characters until the VERY end. Screw that. I want a reward and that reward was going round to round with Iron Mike. That game rocked. Why they never made a wii version or tried to bring it back is a little depressing. I REALLY want to play this game right now.
(ONE) ARCADE TOKENS, TICKETS, & PRIZES
I miss arcades. I’m sure there HAS to be a few still floating around out there, but the boom is past us for sure. I remember when every restaurant and open spot would have an arcade game. I remember playing NBA Jam in some of the most random of places. Still, we’d all have to our local arcades to get a full dosage of games. You’d trade your money in for tokens, play your ass off, lose A LOT of money and then get little paper tickets that you trade in for the cheapest of keepsakes. That sounds so lame and horrible, but I can assure anyone that this stuff was great fun. My favorite was “Aladdin’s Castle” in Merrillville, Indiana back in the day. What about yours?
