(FOUR) YOSHI TATSU
They brought him in without much hoopla. He’s still around… without much hoopla. Tatsu was a bland “Random Asian Wrestler #659257”. He was just a smiling face with a few crossbodies. Then they attempted a revamp. They gave him a cool jacket, make up, and a little attitude but it’s like they just stopped half way through with his “makeover”. They should have turned him heel, gave him new music, a manager maybe, and gave him new promos to redebut on Smackdown or RAW. This recently worked for Brodus Clay.
(THREE) JTG
He’s the small one from Cryme Tyme. The big one got released. JTG has been doing Superstars and NXT. He’s not a bad wrestler at all. He’s athletic and has a lot of charisma. The problem is the gimmick. With some tweaking it COULD work, but the guy is good enough for the time and effort of a completely new character.
(TWO) TYLER REKS
A lot of people haven’t seen Reks. He had a small run as a surfer face and got a little TV time and even a PPV match to show off his heel persona. The problem is that he just haven’t been given the TV time or a steady enough character. I really like the tag team stuff he and Curt Hawkins had going on. Reks is decent in the ring. He’s not Dolph Ziggler or anything, but he’s better than plenty of guys currently featured. I’d like to see him in a solid tag team or at least get a run as an early card heel. Just give the guy a televised storyline.
(ONE) WILLIAM REGAL
If you’re privy to his recent FCW work with Dean Ambrose you’d know that William Regal has proven that he can still go. Regal has always been a great heel and a great worker. He’s one of those solid hands that can do just about anything on the roster and do it well. He was REALLY close to being the top heel for awhile when he was the GM and King of the Ring. He could be good on Smackdown right now. He and Daniel Bryan would be great. He and Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, CM Punk, or really anyone would be great. I feel like he has one really good run left in him before he moves on to training, announcing, or whatever other task he’ll rock at.
