(FOUR) “SUPER” MOLLY
Molly Holly had a variety of characters in WWE and did well with all of them. If the WWE had a “diva midcard” she’d have been the Ricky Steamboat. She was just a solid hand. She could step in for the big stories in either face or heel. My favorite character of hers was when she put on the cape and became “Super Molly”!
(THREE) VICKIE GUERRERO
People are quick to dismiss her and hate on her, but Vickie is great. In today’s world of WWE the idea of a “manager” isn’t that popular. She pretty much forced them because of her skill and heat. She generates SO much heat and does well in ANY spot they put her in. She has no problem making a fool of herself, but at the same time she’s constantly improving herself. She IS the female Bobby Heenan. “Excuse Me!” has to be one the biggest heel one-liners in wrestling history.
(TWO) EVIL TRISH
Trish Stratus was one of the best female wrestlers ever. She did have mic skills and was enjoyable to watch. For awhile she was easily the best “diva” on the roster. Still, her best run was “evil Trish”. After that whole Jericho/Christian storyline,… yeah…. Good stuff!
(ONE) THE BODYDONNA
Sunny/Tammy Sytch is the best diva of all time. She wasn’t a wrestler, but her presence was felt and more important than any diva of today. She had mic skills and the looks, but at start she was stuck with this gimmick. It wasn’t horrible. It was a “fitness couple”. She and “Skip” would exercise and be obnoxious. I suppose at the time Richard Simmons and that kind of stuff was popular, but this type of gimmick pretty much always works. It would work today… IF it were done by someone who could generate the heat. Sunny could and probably still can.
