(FOUR) THE HANGOVER GUYS
Phil. Stu. Alan. Those dudes won us all over. I could have gone with many newer trios here, but I couldn’t deny this one. The Hangover is one of the best comedies of the past ten years. It’s a modern classic and it’s in part because of the chemistry of the leads. Is there anything that hasn’t been said about this movie left? Watch it and enjoy it. It doesn’t disappoint.
(THREE) DONALD DUCK'S NEPHEWS
Huey. Dewey. Louie. Those little duckling rascals. Donald Duck hangs out with them in some cartoons of the past, but they seemed to have spent most of their upbringing living with their Uncle Scrooge. If you grew up with the Duck Tales around and didn’t love it then something inside you is dead.
(TWO) THE BIG LEBOWSKI GUYS
The Dude. Walter. Donny. The best bowling team of all time. These three misfit personalities came together in some sort of friendship. They’d fight wars against nihilists, handle kid napping, check out local art productions, and bowl together… just not on the Shabbos.
(ONE) THE THREE STOOGES
Larry. Curly. Moe. Not the other ones. That combination of Stooges was clearly the best. We all know this. I know they have a 2012 version of a movie, but I’m specifically talking about the one with the Howards. These guys were the kings of slap stick and I can’t think of any time I’ve ever watched the stooges and didn’t enjoy it on some level. There is no trio in comedy that could ever touch these three.
