(FOUR) BRET HART vs. CACTUS JACK
I’m fairly certain Mankind vs. Bret Hart had to have happened during the mid-90’s. I’d like to see Bret Hart, one of the best technical wrestlers of all time take on Cactus Jack, the most destructive of Mick Foley’s “alter egos”. It’s always cool to see two guys of different styles go at it. These are two of the best. I remember when Michaels and Mankind had a title match on one of the old In Your House PPVs. The styles clash of that made for a much underappreciated match. This comparison is even weirder. Because of that, I can’t see it not being great. Bret has shown glimpses of brawling and Foley CAN wrestle a little if pushed that way. This match, in a real built up feud, could have been great.
(THREE) OWEN HART vs. KOFI KINGSTON
Owen Hart was one of the greatest mid card performers of all time. He never got his chance to get the World Title and run with it, but his mid card run of IC, European, and Tag Team Titles were always impressive. He was just a really solid hand. I truly think he’d have been a great champion if time had been on our side. I see a lot of that in Kofi Kingston. Kofi is a very solid hand in the ring and has had a great mid card run. There is still a chance for him to get his big title run down the line. The guy deserves it and if they pull the trigger on a real push he’d be great. This match would be good for the simple wrestling, but Owen and Kofi would steal any show they fought.
(TWO) RICK RUDE vs. KURT ANGLE
A lot of wrestling nerds swear by Rick Rude. Rude was great. He brought something new to the table and was one of the best heels in wrestling for sure. He had some great matches with Savage and Warrior, but never got the big Hogan feud. Hulk Hogan vs. Rick Rude could have headlined a Wrestlemania and done well. I dare anyone to tell me otherwise. Kurt Angle is one of those guys with natural ability as well. He’s one of the best in ring performers of modern wrestling. He and Rude would have torn the house down.
(ONE) RANDY ORTON vs. VADER
This match just sounds perfect. I can imagine the intense feud of an Orton vs. Vader going to the extremes of a Hell in a Cell. Vader, in his prime, was that crazy uncontrollable monster that dominated the pre-Hogan WCW. He could move around way better than he ever got credit for. He should be in the Hall of Fame. Orton has the crazy streak too and is hitting his prime right now. I can easily see the brawl going back and forth and each guy getting more and more psychotic as things went on. RKOs, Vader bombs, moonsaults, kicks to the head, blood, and just good old fashion wrestling violence. This would have been such a money feud.
