(FOUR) THE SLEAZIER SIDE OF THINGS
There is the darker and sleazier side of wrestling. There are promoters who promise money they can’t pay (I never lied, we were always broke). There are those who indulge in drugs, the strippers and rats, and the shitty things. Wrestlers have overdosed plenty of times. There is a certain carny stigma to wrestling. There are the steroids, the back stabbing, the whoring, the theft, the competitive bullshit, and the whole she-bang. These are just a few of the things about “the business” that sucks the life and light out of it.
(THREE) THE CHAMPION PROMOTER/BOOKER
If a promoter, booker, or person of status is also a wrestler then you can bet your ass they’ll be champion. No, not ALWAYS the “top title”… but in the least a mid card title or even a tag title. In WWE, on could point out that Triple H has pull and seems to always be part of the biggest and most prominent storyline. In the indies, the owner/promoter will ALWAYs be a multiple time champion before it’s said and done. Seriously… think about this one. It’s pretty much ALWAYS dead on.
(TWO) TAKING THE INTERNET GOSSIP AS GOSPEL
A lot of the “behind the scenes” stuff we hear is bullshit. Bitter former employees will do interviews and spill their skewed perspective to the masses. “Insiders” will “leak” information to burry someone online. Is Triple H REALLY evil? Did Rock and Brock REALLY hate each other? Does so and so REALLY hate so and so? Did Vince REALLY do this or that? No one really knows this stuff for sure. Even from a firsthand account, it’s only one side of the story. This stuff is still put out there and people still believe it. People HATE Vince McMahon, Triple H, Russo, and others without ever having any real person account with them. It’s all based on what someone reported on the internet. Isn’t that a bit shitty?
(ONE) THOSE WHO INSIST ON REAL NAMES
I don’t care what you’re trying to prove. Just because you Wikipedia searched someone’s real name doesn’t mean you should just start casually using it to “prove” yourself. I’ve seen so many results for WWE house shows were they used to list Carlito as “Carly Colon” or when Eugene was around they’d list him as Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore. This always bothered me. There are people who insist on using real names. Is it because they’re being stubborn and can’t handle change? It is them trying to prove they’re smarter than thou? Is it just them being dicks? What’s the point? You know someone’s real name. Using it on a comment forum isn’t an insult. It just makes you look like a douche.
