(FOUR) PRIMO/ EPICO
I wasn’t sure with to go with here. The Usos are a good solid team. They look-a-like, having matching gear, and are a legitimate team. They have history and are a team they could build off of. My problem is that despite their “interesting” entrance they have no ring presence. They just can’t keep my attention. Because of this, I go with Primo and Epico. They’re in the same ballpark as The Usos, but they have Rosa Mendez and a bit more personality. I’d like to see both teams break out, but right now they’re both pretty dull. At least Rosa is hot.
(THREE) REKS/HAWKINS
Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins are being wasted. Reks has improved and has a unique look. He has decent mic skills and personality, but hasn’t had a chance to showcase it in any story. Same for Hawkins. He was a good tag wrestler as part of the “Edgeheads”, but since then he wasn’t gotten a chance to shine. Why not give them a sleazy Rockstar type of character. Something like “The Roadies” or something WAY better than that. I like their presence and would like to see them get a real run.
(TWO) SWAGGER/ZIGGLER
Dolph Ziggler shouldn’t be in a tag team, but since he is he might as well make the best of it. It’s not that he and Jack Swagger don’t have chemistry together. I like them as part of Vicki’s stable, but I feel like Dolph should be getting elevated to a higher place on the card. In the meantime, I don’t see why these two can’t be one of the best make-shift teams in a long time.
(ONE) KOFI/TRUTH
They’re not my number one because they’re the champions. I went with them as the first pick because they’re the best combo. At first I didn’t like the combo, but they work well together. Both are stand out midcard guys, but together they can really be the anchor of the Tag division. They have similar styles and the crowd likes both of them. If they got some matching tights and showed some kind of unity then they’d be set. I know the last time they tried to name a team was “Air Boom”, but it’s always worth a shot. Maybe something like “R-Boom?”
