(FOUR) PAULA DEAN
Paula Dean serves up old school home meals that aren’t necessarily great for you. It’s a lot of comfort food and that stuff. She is a sweet grandmother type. How can you dislike her? If someone dislikes Paula Dean then they’re horrible people who should not be allowed to share and have opinions.
(THREE) GORDON RAMSEY
A lot of people don’t like him, but I dig his work. He plays the angry English guy perfectly. Ramsey has a lot of reality shows and makes a lot of appearances. Once you look past the fact that he’s presenting a persona, it’s fun to be “in on the joke” so to speak.
(TWO) NADIA
She has a show called “Bitchin’ Kitchen” that comes on occasionally later in the night. She is awesome. She has a New York accent, but has a classy, gothy, John Waters-type of approach. It’s like Peewee’s Playhouse for cooking. And it helps that Nadia is hot and funny. Nadia and this show are going to blow up soon. I’d bet on it.
(ONE) ANTHONY BOURDAIN
Bourdain has the swagger of a poet and the adventures of an Indiana Jones. He’s not being chased by gigantic rocks or anything, but he goes all across the world eating random things. He makes these weird places seem so much cooler. Any other host would be cheesy or off-putting. Bourdain experiences it and there just so happens to be a camera there to share it. It’s cool that his voice sounds a lot like Elliot Gould.
