(FOUR) PHOREVER PHOEBE
Lisa Kudrow pretty much started playing the Phoebe character before Friends. Her first recurring TV roles was “Ursula Buffay” on Mad About You. They tried to play it off as it was her twin, but it was the same character. It’s just they seemed to ignore that part of the backstory safe for a random Helen Hunt cameo. This is pretty cool. Of course she’d be on Friends for ten years. She made a million dollars an episode for the last two seasons. That’s a lot of money for a lot of funny.
(THREE) EARLY ON
Kudrow grew up in LA. She always had an entertainer’s personality. When she was 16 she got a nose job and with some advice from John Lovitz she decided to get into acting. This lead to her going to The Groundlings where she cut her comedic teeth.
(TWO) MOVIES
Lisa Kudrow has done her share of movies. Her biggest starring role had to be the cult favorite “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” and in “Analyze This” and “Analyze That”. She’s also done “Easy A”, “Marci X”, “Happy Endings”, “PS I Love You”, and others. She does drama too. A good example was her work in the massively underrated “Wonderland”. Still, I feel she’s due a starring role. She deserves it and is worth the risk.
(ONE) MOVING FORWARD
She doesn’t really need to do anything. I’m sure her “Friends money” is still stacked tall. Since the show she’s done a lot. Two things that stand out to me is her producing credit on the show “Who Do You Think You Are?”. She also took to doing a web series called “Web Therapy”. It’s an improv show where she is a horrible therapist who corresponds via web cam. Showtime ended up picking it up. You have to dig her desire to evolve. She’s really a woman of many talents.
