(FOUR) CROCKETT/TUBS
Miami Vice. The main reason I’m including these two over a lot of others is because I’m a fan of their fashion sense. The neon colored shirts and jackets? Wow! That’s so ridiculous that it’s iconic. That whole weird beachy 80’s thing was really sleazy. They don’t make montages like they used to.
(THREE) EDDIE/LOU
On The Simpsons we have two cops that we seem to forget about. Chief Wiggum gets a lot of camera time, but the gems dropped between these two partners is priceless. Without Eddie and Lou, I’m pretty sure Springfield would be way worse off.
(TWO) DANA SCULLY/FOX MULDER
The X-Files had its up and downs, but the one thing that the show consistently brought us were the chemistry between Mulder and Scully. We get to see them go from strangers to friends to best friends to the only people who understand each other. It’s a nice love story for sure. He being the believer and her being the skeptic brought a nice ying and yang to the mix as well. This chemistry makes them great partners.
(ONE) ANDY TAYLOR/BARNEY FIFE
This was planned before the passing of Andy Griffith. Did anyone else think it was a little weird that the main character was named “Andy Taylor” and the show was “Andy Griffith”? That aside, this is an iconic show. Andy was the Sherriff of Mayberry and Barny was his deputy, but they were still the best partners in TV cop history.
