(FOUR) LAMBCHOP
I wanted to go with ”Wishbone”. That little dog got in the craziest of adventures. But I have to go with Lambchop almost purely on the impact the show’s closing theme song had. “This is the song that doesn’t end, it goes on and on my friend, some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, but they’ll continue singing it forever just because….” Repeat… a million times!
(THREE) SHINING TIME STATION
All I remember about this show is that it was a train station, it made me happy as a small child, and George Carlin was in it. What more do I need to know? This was a simple setting, but they did a lot with it. It was like Mr. Rogers, but with profit margins and smoke breaks. I never understood why this show didn’t get another run. It was always a fan.
(TWO) GHOSTWRITER
This show was so awesome. It was a detective show for kids where they got help from a super natural being who was all about words, grammar, and being mysterious. To me, as a kid, this was a “smart” show. I also remember the bad guy from The Warriors was in as a homeless guy. Right? That happened? This is another kids franchise that they could have gotten more out of.
(ONE) ZOOBILEE ZOO
If you watch this stuff now, it’s like a bad acid trip. It’s like a hippie-theatre-in-the-park type of thing. It reminds me of a more PBS-ized version of The Wiz. The characters and setting was just so weird and different that it was awesome. It was way more theatric than credit given. The creators of this show had a vision, a really unique one! Bring this back! PLEASE!
