(FOUR) PETER FACINELLI
“Mike Dexter” being in Twilight is strange. It makes sense, but at the same time I wouldn’t have expected it. Facinelli had a memorable role in “Can’t Hardly Wait” and is consistently one of the only reasons to watch “Nurse Jackie”. He had a fun run on “Six Feet Under” and he has put together a pretty awesome body of work. He wasn’t in just one Twilight movie. He is in ALL of them.
(THREE) BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD
Richie Cunningham’s daughter is part of the Twilight franchise? That just doesn’t seem right. Aunt Bea would not approve! I am a fan of Bryce Dallas Howard. She keeps popping up in a variety of cool and interesting roles. I suppose “variety” of all kinds is cool, including Twilight I guess, is something to go for. Luckily she’s awesome and will be in plenty more projects that I’m sure I will like.
(TWO) MICHAEL SHEEN
Michael Sheen does it all. He is a great actor and has done some great stuff. It truly seems like he loves what he does and it shows in the quality of his work. With “Underworld” he proved he’ll do action, science fiction, and fantasy. Why Twilight though? Why?! Why not some more stuff like his spots on “30 Rock”, or his awesome performance in “Frost/Nixon”, or the slew of other cool things he has under his name?
(ONE) WENDELL PIERCE
When looking at the cast list for the Twilight franchise this name stood out more than any. Wendell Pierce, “Bunk” from “The Wire” and Antoine Batiste from “Treme”, has a role? I’m not mad at him getting some of that vampire money, but the idea of him in any capacity in one of those movies is a little sad. Those little girls aren’t going to see it and be like “That dude is awesome (and he is), I need to watch The Wire!” I feel like I’m being lied to. Does the internet still do that?
