(FOUR) RYBACK VS. HULK HOGAN
This match would suck ass in any era or time frame. For discussions sake let’s go with the current Ryback. I think he’ll improve in time, but we can’t predict the future. Hogan was big in a few periods and had different levels of attributes over that time. For this match I’d like to Hollywood Hogan taking on Ryback. It would basically be the Hogan vs. Goldberg match, but potentially better. I’d just like to see this match based on the crowd’s reaction and how iffy and bad it’ll be. Kids would eat it up, but anyone older than like 12 would probably hate it. I want to hear the noise made for this spectacle.
(THREE) THE BRISCOE BROTHERS VS. THE HARDY BOYZ
The Briscoe Brothers might be the best tag team in America to never be in the WWF or TNA. This statement definitely works currently but I’m having a hard time thinking of any other team in the internet era to not “make it”. They’ve been part of the heart and soul of Ring of Honor for years. They’ve gone from clean cut teenagers in singlets impressing the hell out of people in the early 00’s to a pair of crazy farm boys who can fight, wrestle, and cut some of the most underappreciated promos in wrestling. I’d like to see these two destroy another brother duo in the form of The Hardy Boyz. I’d like to see the 2000 era Hardys go at it with the Briscoes of today. It would be athletic, high flying, a brawl, and could tell a great character story for sure.
(TWO) DOLPH ZIGGLER VS. SCOTT HALL
Razor Ramon, please. Scott Hall was cool with nWo, but I’m always going to be a Razor Ramon fan. As Razor he had great matches with the likes of Bret Hart and of course Shawn Michaels. The current Dolph is the epitome of what wrestling should evolve to the same way the likes of Michaels, Flair, and others trailblazed in the past. He’s just that awesome. I’d be really into seeing Razor Ramon take on the current Dolph Ziggler. Imagine if it were a ladder match on top of all of this.
(ONE) OWEN HART/BRET HART VS. EDDIE GUERRERO/REY MYSTERIO
I was going to pair Eddie and Chavo as normal, but it didn’t feel as strong of a team as putting Eddie and Rey together. Eddie and Rey from any of their eras would rock and Owen and Bret from any of their eras would rock. I’d like to go with Eddie and Rey from like 03-05ish for sure. Both were on their A-game in their own feud and were at their peaks on Smackdown. Then with Owen and Bret I’ll go with 94/95 for the same reasons. They were both striving on their own, but in their feud during this time they did some great stuff. This match would be a freaking clinic. They’d wrestle their asses off, do innovative shit, and tell a great story.
