(FOUR) HOGAN KNOWS BEST
This show was so stupid it literally made Hulk Hogan’s credibility kill itself. Pro wrestling wasn’t the most respected entertainment genre or art form, but one of the biggest black eyes has to be this show. It was a rip off of the Osbourne show but featured Hogan, Linda, and his two kids doing rich people things and being painfully boring. Hogan seems like a cool guy, but he and his family were overexposed. It seems the leeching fame made him go crazy. He became another Kardashian/Jersey Shore/TMZ “personality”. This show was HORRIBLE. I’m annoyed just thinking about it.
(THREE) THE MULLETS
If you look at pictures of your favorite wrestlers from the 70’s to as far as the late 90’s. If any of those wrestlers have long hair, you can bet your ass it’s a mullet. It’s hard to tell people how bad ass Shawn Michaels was in 94 when he comes out with a teased up mullet of shame. Was Ric Flair a magnificent and extravagant trailblazer? Doesn’t look like it when you see his hair. The mullets, man…the mullets!
(TWO) MIDGET/LITTLE PEOPLE MATCHES
I have no problem with little people being involved with wrestling. I think they’re probably misrepresented and not used enough. The only time a little person is used it’s for a “midget match” where it’s all comedy or these days all hardcore. A little person in Mexico can go out there and wrestle their ass off, but in America it’s Hornswoggle or random ugly “mini-version” of someone. I’d rather not have any than that shit.
(ONE) MISSING WRESTLING
Before the internet and TiVo made it easy for wrestling fans to catch up with the shows they miss, they were shit out of luck. You’d miss Monday Night RAW and unless you talked to a fellow fan that caught it, you’d not know what happened AT ALL until Saturday morning at the earliest. There is a uncomfortable feeling not knowing what happened in something you’re so invested in. Power outages, cable problems, getting grounded, and pre-emptions were the worst!
