(FOUR) DEAN AMBROSE
Dean Ambrose reminds a lot of people of Brian Pillman. He has a chaotic presence to him that makes him seem just a little more dangerous and a little craftier than the typical bad guy wrestler. I don’t think he was ever a death match guy, but I’m sure he’d be great in a brawl situation.
(THREE) BIG SHOW
The Big Show has been in a lot of hardcore matches. I’m not going to cower from the world and admit that Big Show was actually a good ECW champion. Sure that era of ECW goes down as bad, but he had some pretty grueling matches. I remember one he had with Flair specifically that was cool. That’s just one section of his career though. He has done cages, cells, hardcore, brawls, and anything and everything.
(TWO) RANDY ORTON
Randy Orton has done hardcore matches and has had his share of violent gimmick matches and spots. He also has an explosive and sadistic personality. The same way you’d say Jake Roberts was “extreme”, you could say Orton is the same. He just has an edge to him that I can’t compare to anyone else past or present.
(ONE) KANE
I put a lot of thought into this. Kane IS the most “extreme” active wrestler on the WWE roster. He has ran the gamut of WWE styled hardcore gimmick matches, but he also has the benefits of feuding with the Undertaker a lot, having a crazy character, and being around for so long. Kane can have a comedy character with the best of them, but when he goes ape shit crazy he goes ape shit crazy. I will NEVER get the visual of him using a car battery to shock Shane McMahon, him trying to set Jim Ross on fire, and then the Lita story. Kane is a future Hall of Famer for sure, but he doesn’t get enough credit for being “extreme”.
