(FOUR) WHEN EVERYTHING DIDN’T HAVE A NETWORK!
Food, Travel, DIY, Babys, Animals, Exercise, Hunting, etc. etc. etc. The niche’ market of television isn’t a secret. They have channels for EVERYTHING. If you want to watch a specific thing all day then you can most likely do it. I had no problem with a sports network and a women network. That is simple and makes sense. Why can’t we start consolidating television channels?
(THREE) SAVE THE RAIN FOREST (CAFÉ)!
I never got to go to the Rainforest Café, but I always wanted to go there. When it came out, lots of big restaurants popped up like Planet Hollywood, ESPN, etc. etc. etc. But the “Rainforest Café” was supposed to be classy and cool. The TV stuff about it and the first hand stories always made it sound like a cool place. I’m sad I never got to go. I think I’m more concerned about this at the moment than actual rain forests.
(TWO) DISCOVERY ZONE
What the hell happened to this place? In my area we had “Celebration Station” as our main kids party/play place/arcade kind of location. Then after a while Chuckie Cheese popped up and that seems to be what they’re doing now. Somewhere in between there was a place called the Discovery Zone. Basically, it was a whole bunch of tunnels and plastic balls. Think a fast food chain “ball pit” playground… but HUUUUGE. Maybe I don’t miss this, but the idea of it was cool.
(ONE) OLD SCHOOL GANGS
Gangs changed, man! They changed! Back in the day, like way back in the 50s, the “gangs” were hoodlum kids who wore leather jackets. Basically they all looked like Fonzie from “Happy Days”. They looked silly and seemed generally harmless compared to today’s violence. Even before that “gangs” were the mafia type of groups. Gangs are now lame. Most of them dress like crappy rappers and have no style in their game. It’s just mindless crap in a crap looking wrapper.
