(FOUR) CURTIS AXEL
I’m not sold on this guy. He seems to be talented enough at wrestling, but he just hasn’t shown enough charisma to make any of it matter. I’m hoping he can come out of his shell, but I’m just not sure at this point. When he and David Otunga were Tag Team Champions I thought HE was the weak link of that combo. Still, if they really want to “put him on the map”, they could throw the crown and cape on him.
(THREE) ANTONIO CESARO
Seeing Cesaro as the King of the Ring would rock. He has gotten a strange reaction so far, but the ingredients for being a top star are CLEARLY there. He’d be a great “King of the Ring” and seeing him go through the tournament in featured match-ups, get good wins, and start a new feud. He brings something new to table and when they figure out how to hone they’ll be printing money.
(TWO) KOFI KINGSTON
Outside of “King” Kofi Kingston resulting in the KKK initials, this would be awesome. I think it’s time to pull the trigger on Kofi going heel. The company needs faces, but they need effective faces. As awesome as Kofi is, they don’t seem to let him get too far as a face. Why not mix it up? Before the WWE, Kofi was cutting awesome heel promos that brought a different perspective to the “anti-America” promos. Even if they didn’t go that route, his mic skills were very good when he’s allowed to have more of a pissed off attitude.
(ONE) DAMIEN SANDOW
When you think of an arrogant character that would take the idea of “royalty” and run with it how can you NOT instantly think of this guy? He would eat the scenery up with that kind of character heat. He seems to be quickly becoming one of the crowd’s most “love to hate” personas on television. He’d be easy to push right into the main event. Give him the King of the Ring, maybe but Vicki with him as his “Queen”, and let the fun begin.
