(FOUR) DELIVERY MAN
This movie should be rated R. I don’t see how this movie could be made as a PG 13 movie when the concept of the movie is that a normal dude played by Vince Vaughn find out that the sperm he’s been donating has fathered over 530 children. It’s discovered that such a man exists so these adopted people get together and demand to know who the “father” is. It’s a pretty fun idea for a movie and is a remake of a 2011 French movie called “Starbuck”. The rest of the cast is made up of Cobie Smulders, Chris Pratt, Jay Reynor, and Ben Bailey. Not a bad mix if you ask me. The trailer looks fun, but a little lighter than I’d hope. I think I should just accept that Vince Vaughn isn’t going to bust out that many R rated comedies any more. This sucks because R-rated comedy and serious drama are his strongest qualities. I still want to check this out, but I think my jaded anticipation is weakened by the movie rating.

(THREE) ABOUT TIME
I’m a huge sucker for time travel movies. The concept has always been awesome and since “Back to the Future” and “Bill and Teds”, it’s been something I’ll watch no matter what. There are some bad time travel movies, but you just have to gut it out. At the same time, I’m not a shame to admit that I’m a sucker for good romantic comedies, especially the English ones like “Love, Actually”. All of that comes together in this movie. Domhnall Gleeson is told by his father, Bill Nighy, that the men in his family can time travel. Hilarity and love ensues. The concept is cool off the bat, but then we factor in that the love interest is the lovely Rachel McAdams. He uses the time traveling to woo her, give her the perfect proposal, and to save their relationship. I’m not expecting this movie to blow up huge or change the world, but I’m interested in checking it out. This could easily be the sleeper of the year.

(TWO) THE WOLF OF WALL STREET
This movie is going to be one of the biggest of the year for sure. It’s said Martin Scorsese is one of the best filmmakers of all time. Who can really argue that? Sure it’s subjective, but in terms of success and progress he’s one of the most influential and beloved directors ever. His movies are classics. I have a hard time thinking this movie will be ANY different. The cast is top notch. The lead is Leonardo DiCaprio. Then the cast is rounded out with Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Kyle Chandler, Jon Favreau, Rob Reiner, Spike Jonze, Ethan Suplee, and about two dozen other familiar faces and fine performers. It’s a dark comedy, which is always fun. DiCaprio plays a New York stockbroker who goes crazy in his lifestyle and even crazier with his participation in a big corruption case. It’s all based on Jordan Belfort’s memoir, but the screenplay is handled by Boardwalk Empire’s mastermind Terence Winter. That’s all one big math equation that equals me being excited to see this.

(ONE) ANCHORMAN 2: THE LEGEND CONTINUES
Anchorman is one of the best modern comedies to come out in the past twenty or so years. In fact, I could even accept someone saying it is THE best. It’s THAT great. There are so many lines, characters, and scenes that people repeat and reenact on the same level of a “The Big Lebowski” or “The Simpsons”. If you’re a cool nerd, then you know those are two things that are quoted more than the bible in some (awesome) states. The gang is back and they’re heading into the world of 24 hour news networks. They rocked the 70’s and now in the 80’s they have to face off new challenges and meet new characters. This will be fantastic. It’s Will Ferrell’s best performance hands down and I can’t wait for more. Then the All-Star comedy and acting cast is made up of the returning Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, Christina Applegate, Fred Willard, Chris Parnell, and BAXTER all return. Then there are cameos and others invluding Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson, Kristen Wiig, James Marsen, Meagan Good, Greg Kinnear, and more! THEN there’s the cameo list that’s SO retard-iculous that I don’t want to list it because it seems too outrageous to be real. Folks, we’ve bitched and moaned now for like nine years that we wanted MORE Anchorman. We’re getting it! I want to see this movie as soon as possible and then see it six more times just as fast!
