BY MICHAEL GOODPASTER
(FOUR) “INTRODUCING…THE UNDERTAKER” The Undertaker is one of the greatest of all time. He is everything that is
great about wrestling. He is a larger than life character, he tells a great
story in the ring, and has created one of the best careers you can in the sport.
None of this would be without Takers debut at Survivor Series 90. He came out
and just dominated. He would surely evolve since his ginger days, but this was
crazy important. The WrestleMania streak is what people talk about most, but he
has more history with the ol' Thanksgiving classic.
(THREE) WILDCARD TEAMS
The randomness of the old Survivor Series elimination matches were always fun.
The ones I liked most were the random teams. It would be good guys teaming up
with bad guys and even tag partner versus tag partner. Sometimes wed get a debut
in a match like this, most notably Flash Funk, Furnas and Lafone, and this dude
named Rocky Miavia.
(TWO) HBK/RAZOR II
The WrestleMania X ladder match is iconic. It's pretty much a perfect match.
Michaels and Razor blew minds at Mania, but they put out an even better match
later on at Suvivor Series. It's truly become a hidden gem and is one of the
most underrated matches ever.
(ONE) THE SCREW JOB
This is one topic from wrestling history that I wish I didn't have to keep
writing about. If you don't know the story then learn yourself some of the most
screwed up garbage imaginable. Still this is part of the history of my favorite
form of entertainment. The match was good and then it's capped off with the most
controversial finish of all time. If you don't know what the screw job is then
you might as well not know what wrestling is.
