(FOUR) LOTTERY WINNER
Flat out the silliest idea would be for Michael Scott to just win the lottery. Like have him with an obscene amount like “$69 Million”. Then someone can say “69?!” and he can say “That’s what she said”. Yeah, that’s lame but would be a shock. They could play it as if he’s going to buy the company but instead decides no one really respects or likes him so he steps away and moves to an island somewhere to take his “Michael Scott Joints” to the beach.
(THREE) DWIGHT’S REVENGE
For years Michael has treated Dwight Shrute as his side kick whipping boy. If Michael needs a “yes man” Dwight is always there, often loyal to a fault. I know they’ve had small disputes in the past, but ultimately Michael treats him like crap. Maybe Dwight finds out the job position of “Assistant to the Assistant Manager” isn’t real, goes off, and in result not only gets Michael fired but takes his job. Producer/Actress Mindy Kaling was quoted all over for saying she’d like to see Dwight take the job, so who knows. I could easily see a likely scenario where Dwight is responsible for Michael being fired or demoted. He’s too sly and trained in the art of war to let the years of abuse slide…. Right?
(TWO) RUNS AWAY WITH HOLLY
It’s been announced that Amy Ryan will be returning to the show for several episodes this upcoming season. With that, this one almost seems a little too predictable. I love the combination of Michael Scott and Holly Flax. They’re both a bit goofy and seem to fit well into each other’s odd little worlds. With her returning, they’ll have to get over their past and accept they’re right for each other. So with that, it’s easy to think that Michael will run away with Holly. I’m cool with a happy ending for Michael Scott, but a predictable one is not cool. This idea borders on that on scary levels.
(ONE) SACRIFICAL PAM
This one is a little out there, but I like it most for how to end the character of Michael Scott. For a couple years now I’ve been saying that someday before it’s over we’re going to see Michael Scott and Pam Beesly have an affair or at least share in a kiss. The reasons are simple. They care for each other and I don’t think either realize how much. When Michael started his own paper company, “The Michael Scott Paper Company”, Pam went with. When Pam had that art show, who showed up to support her? Michael. That’s just two scenarios of many over the years that these two characters have gone above and beyond for each other. The scenario I dig is for them to magically realize this and share in an intimate kiss out of nowhere. Of course, Jim would walk in on it. To not ruin Jim and Pam’s marriage and lives, Michael takes the blame and is fired due to sexual harassment. This leaves the following season open to the whole storyline of Jim finding out the truth and him and Pam either breaking up or working it out. What I like about this idea is that it’s kind of a shock, throws things off, and lets Michael Scott exit the show as almost a martyr. Kind of like “Dark Knight”, he’ll be the enemy of everyone but for the better good of what he needs to be.
