(FOUR) RHODES & MCINTYRE
I guess. I’ve not watched that much wrestling as of late. WWE is sucking, TNA has always sucked, and the only other company I watch is DGUSA but I’ve still only seen like 4 or 5 shows. That means I don’t watch ROH, Evolve, or whatever else. Sorry. Chill out. Click away if bothered. Because of this, I’m without many choices. This is actually kind of sad when you think about it. I’m not really sold on any of these teams half as much as I was about teams of the past or even recently as Miz and Morrison teaming up. I like Cody Rhodes and Drew is okay. They’re the champs and getting a push right now. I’ll just go with it.
(THREE) BEER MONEY INC.
There are times when I force myself to watch TNA. 99% of the time I hate it and feel that my time is wasted, but I still feel it’s worth a shot. One of the few things that surprised me was how fun Beer Money was to watch wrestle together. It’s one of the few real tag teams out there and I love the little things they do as a team. The beer, the tag moves, and the overall over the top personas these guys put out is a bright spot.
(TWO) THE HART DYNASTY
If we’re supposed to compare tag teams to the 80’s because “the 80’s had the best tag teams!” then The Hart Dynasty stacks up. They are the perfect 80’s generic tag team. The only thing they have going for them is who they are related to. They are fine athletes, but it’s hard to say I’ve ever been excited or enthralled with a Hart Dynasty match. I know they have really big shoes to fill, but even without taking that into consideration they are kind of boring. I want to like them more, but it’s just not happening. They’re just kind of there. They lack in personality and presence, but a little bit of pink in their attire and a familiar song and we have pretty much the top tag team in WWE right now.
(ONE) MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS
I just can’t get into TNA. I want to enjoy it because more the good professional wrestling the better. Just about everything about their product rubs me the wrong way and just never clicks with me. If you enjoy it, cool. I’ve tried and I’ll probably try again in the future, but it’s just not my cup of tea. I’d take WWE or DGUSA over TNA any day of the week. There are only a few select reasons I care ANYTHING for TNA is they have a few select talents that I’d like to see elsewhere. Motor City Machine Guns are one of those reasons. There is an Edge/Christian vibe to them, but dare I say more advanced at this point in their game than E&C were during their grouping. Their matches are typically entertaining, fun promos, and just that overall “it factor” and ring presence is what makes them stand out. I’d love to see them in a WWE environment or on the indies wrestling teams other than the same three in TNA. They deserve attention and they’re not going to get it with 3 minutes of Impact every other week.
