(FOUR) ROCKSTAR DAD
Over the years, Will has had many music moments. The whole “More Cowbell” sketch from SNL and his “Free Bird” performance on Conan’s last “Tonight Show” come to mind really quickly. There’s been plenty more and I’m sure more in the future. What many people don’t know is that Will’s father is a guitarist, keyboardist, and saxophonist for the band The Righteous Brothers.
(THREE) FRAT BOY
We’ve seen him in Old School, but while at the University of Southern California he was actually a frat boy. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta. Other famous people from the frat include Drew Carey, Matthew McConaughey, Jim FN’ Nabors, David Schwimmer, singer John Denver, some astronauts, some CEOs, Senators, a few Vice Presidents, and a lot more. I’m pretty sure Will is the coolest though.
(TWO) WORST AUTOGRAPHER?
Want Will Ferrell’s autograph? Too bad. In 2007 “Autograph” magazine listed Will Ferrell as the worst celebrity autographer. It’s reported that he’ll taught and jokingly harass people seeking his autograph. By “taunting”, he basically just tests the person. He was asked this in an old interview and said "I do. I really do. I'm like, 'How badly do you want this autograph?' 'Are you sure?' 'You say you're my biggest fan, really, prove it.' I'll do things like that. They have to earn it.” What’s so bad about that? Then again, I was a fan of his way early in his SNL stint and was lucky enough to get a personalized autographed picture. Yeah, I’m looking at it on my office wall right now. Suck on that, “seekers”!
(ONE) NO BUSH
A part of Will’s success is his awesome George W. Bush parody. He did it on Saturday Night Live for years and even did a Broadway production all about him. But surprisingly, Will Ferrell has never met the man himself. There have been several occasions where they could have met, but Will refuses for both political and professional reasons. It makes sense when he puts it this way: "I declined, partly out of comedic purposes, because when I was on the show Saturday Night Live at the time, it didn't make sense to really meet the people that you play, for fear of them influencing you. And then the other side of it is, from a political standpoint, I don't want to meet that guy."
