No snappy words from me. This one is seriously serious. If you don’t want to help a dying adult with a kidney, or a growing college student with an education, or a hungry village with nourishment – open your heart to innocent children. Every day children are abducted, most likely abused in horrific ways, & usually murdered. The biggest organization providing help to parents, families, relatives, etc to find their poor lost children is the Child Find of America.
Everyday about 2,300 children are reported missing (abduction, runaways, etc). Each year Child Find of America receives between 15,000 - 20,000 calls for help from searching parents, family members, law enforcement, other agencies, other children & educators.
On average, each year Child Find spends 90 cents of every dollar donated directly on providing program services, & because of this outstanding efficiency, Child Find has consistently earned an A+ rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy.
No, tragically, it does not work every time. Yes, bad things still happen - But do your part.
Listen to the broadcasted amber alerts, stop & study the missing child flyers, don’t throw away the junk mail with a child’s face on the back, pay attention to the milk carton… that’s some bodies child – their own blood runs through their veins, their heart beats for news, someone is desolate & clutching to hope that they will be reunited. (Not to mention the mental – and other - abuse happening to the child in the separation…)
There should never have to be another Jon Benet or Elizabeth Smart happening, EVER.
