Anton Yelchin has great management. He is a more than capable actor and has really paid his dues over the past like decade. I say he has great people behind him because he lands some awesome roles in some really awesome projects. Some might not get tons of box office acclaim, but I can’t think of a time when it was his fault. I enjoyed him in “House of D” and then an episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Charlie Bartlet”, “Star Trek”, “Alpha Dog”, etc. etc. etc. He’s out there in movies from indie to big budget. I appreciate the variety and the fact we NEVER hear anything bad about him. Underrated for sure. However I have a feeling this is all going to change soon. This R-Rated Horror movie should put him on the map. He stars as a kid who gets suspicious of his neighbor, played seemingly awesomely by Colin Farrell, who turns out to be a vampire. They get into a war that looks really fun. The rest of the cast seems awesome too. I am a big fan of Christopher Mintz-Plasse, David Tennant, and Imogen Poots. The cast seems cool, the dialogue seems witty, the action looked impressive, and this just looks like a really fun movie. A few years ago “Zombieland” came out and put a very fun and successful spin on zombie comedies. I know this IS a remake, but I could see this movie doing AS successful as that depending on how the initial word of mouth is. All in all, I might even be too optimistic about this one.
