This movie looks really weird. It’s what they call “high concept”, that’s for sure. The story here that in the future time is LITERALLY money. When you’re 25, you die unless you buy/steal more time. That’s a new one. The main character is Justin Timberlake and he gets caught up in a thriller of a story when he hooks up with Amanda Seyfried. They then take on some bad guys in what looks to be a fun thriller. From the looks of it the bad guys include Cillian Murphy and the awesome Vincent Kartheiser. I don’t know how I feel about this movie being 28. On the surface it looks like a lame sorta-sci-fy/sorta thriller. The thing is that I trust Justin Timberlake. I like his choices in movies to be in. Even the movies that a little off kilter and don’t necessarily find an audience are good. What I’m saying is that I liked really Alpha Dog and Southland Tales. I’m not going to be close minded to this movie. I’m going to hope for the best and not take it too seriously. I can’t. I don’t want “I’m too old to live” nightmares with “Pete Campbell” making cameos. I’m on the fence. When it comes down to it, I’ll watch this sooner than later. For some reason it reminds me of Total Recall and movies like that. That could be a good thing or a great thing.
