I checked this movie out basically out of boredom. This isn't my type of movie, but I knew that those involved were talented so I guess it was of an open mind. My fear was that the movie would have a cheesy paint-by-numbers plot and be nothing more than a "Ransom"/"not without my daughter" type of blow'em up type of movie. My fears were half true. The movie's plot is a bit paint-by-numbers and there are definitely some cheesy lines, but for what it was it was pretty damn entertaining. It's definitely a popcorn flick that doesn't treat the audience like it's stupid. It hit Number 1, but for a January release that doesn't normally mean much credibility. I'd be willing to wage that if this movie had of come out during the summer that it still would raked in impressive numbers and possibly much more. Liam Neeson carries this movie on his back and strides for one of the quickest 93 minutes of my life. If you've not seen this and have seen the movies you wanted to see already, this is definitely worth a shot.
