I'm an old man at twenty four. I don't like this whole new wave of computer generated animation. Sure it looked good, but it lacks the heart of something hand drawn. Still, I'm also a kid at heart and enjoy childish things. The casting for Horton is what put me over the edge. Since I was forced, I'd just sit back and embrace it. I mean it's Jim Carrey, Steve Carrell, Seth Rogan, Will Arnett, Jonah Hill, and a slew of other very entertaining people so why not? After the initial shock of being overloaded with colors and really nice imagery it calmed down and went back to being that heartless type of computer animation. I remember enjoying the actual book as a kid, but I couldn't really get into this movie. I tried pretty hard, but it just got really dull and boring. I found myself dazing off and thinking about other things as the movie was right in front of me. I still think kids might like this, so if you got em, show em. If not, avoid this one. Don't let the great cast fool you.
