It was one of those rare occasions where I didn't totally avoid a CGI, animated with a computer, or Pixar movie. I was sorta sucked into by family, but whatever. I ended up enjoying this movie. It had a lot of edge for a children's movie. I felt old at times because for some parts I'd think that it was too vulgar, extreme, or morbid for children. Was that just me being old or has standards changed over the past few years? I enjoyed the little inside jokes about "the white man", enron, death, suicide, and the like and would most likely of gave it a chance sooner if I knew it had this racier material. It was just heavily marketed towards kids and to me would seem a little flat for a kid. It's too cool and forward to be a kid's movie and too childish to be a adult movie. It's sorta in between. Maybe a cartoon for tweens? Either way, I enjoyed it and would watch it again but I think it didn't do as well as it could of due to the blurred line of what demo it's aiming for. I recommend it, but I'm seriously thinking you'll not expect what you're going to see.
