I have no idea why this movie isn't getting more love. A friend and I attended an afternoon showing on Monday and we were literally the ONLY ones in the theatre. While, it's cool to be able to claim I had a "private screening" it's a bit upsetting to see this SNL movie so deserted. If I hadn't seen a lot of promo for it I'd of thought they did their promo entirely on MySpace. The movie was fun. Will Forte did not hold anything back here. The story is silly and the characters even sillier. It's basically about Will Forte and his crew (Phillippe and Wiig) trying to take down the evil Val Kilmer. It's cheesy and hell and takes jabs at old action movies through-out. When it hits DVD I can see this blowing up. There are more quotable lines in this movie than "The Hangover", but is much sillier than anything else of recent memory. Yes, there are shit and dick jokes but there's a bit more to it. It's witty and has so many obscure laughs that it's hard to absorb them all. Unless you're living with this idea that it's NOT okay to laugh, then you will enjoy this movie on some level. Solid B
