This was one of those movies that you find at your local Blockbuster after scouring their releases. It was just sitting there by itself with only one copy on display. I took a look at the synopsis and the cast and knew it was worth a shot. It was what you could call a "eccentric indie comedy", but it was much more to that. Joseph Fiennes played a forensics expert who loses his job due to passing out whenever he sees blood. He then joins up with Winona Ryder, who is an insurance claims investigator. Fiennes' character is obsessed with people who die due to immense stupidity, thus getting a job with an insurance company is perfect for him. The supporting and cameo cast of the likes of David Arquette, Lukas Haas, Juliette Lewis, DB Sweeny, Robin Tunney, Wilmer Valderrama, and the late Chris Penn really add to this movie. Their characters and really the rest of the cast compliment each other's work. I thought this movie was well written, well directed, well acted, and well produced. It's not a 100 million box office draw, but it's worth picking up and watching.
