For years the Ultimate Warrior has seemed off his rocker. His wrestling promos were crazy and his wheelings and dealings within wrestling have always seemed really bad. Never the less, I was a fan as a kid. I had the “wrestling buddy”, the toys, and the merch. As I got older I saw past it all and outside of the fond memories from youth I had no use for Warrior on my screen. He was just another old guy hanging on too long in WCW. At the same time I was also a Hulk Hogan fan. I had the merchandise and was a Hulkamaniac. As I got older he stayed “cool” longer by doing the nWo stuff. But I saw past that too. His matches were horrible, his attitude was shit, and over time I lost all respect for him. His reality show, his interviews, and his presence is just crap. He is a shell of a person and is a cancer to the evolution and growth of wrestling. Wrestling will never move forward until guys like Hogan stop trying to drag it backwards. Not too long about, Warrior put out a preview video for an upcoming “shoot” video on Hulk Hogan. The main issue was that Hogan was talking crap about the legendary “Macho Man” Randy Savage, who recently passed away for those living under a rock. Hogan took it upon himself to air dirty laundry. This angered an already anti-Hogan Warrior. So Warrior puts out a eight part shoot video on YouTube going off about Hogan. I was expecting some big dirty laundry list, but the preview video pretty much gave everything always. What I took from it was that Hogan does a lot of drugs, the people around Hogan do a lot of drugs, Hogan is a bad person, Hogan and his ex-wife Linda had an open relationship, Hogan is a bad person, Hogan ruined Brooke’s career, Hogan is a bad person, and Warrior isn’t as crazy as I thought. The stuff he said made sense. What reason does he have to lie? He could put a book out and make about the same amount of money. Wrestling related books aren’t exactly that big of sellers. Sure, they’ll make a list or two but in general these books aren’t Best Sellers unless there is some relevance. I’d read it and I’m sure others would, but this isn’t going to be brought up on The View or anything. I already didn’t like Hogan and I wasn’t big on Warrior. While Warrior’s shoot was self serving, I like him more than Hogan. I definitely respect him more.
