I didn't expect much. I expected a few good marches and sucky and disappointing
character and story development. The roster is outstanding right now, but some
of the story lines just make it dreadful and a few of the superstars they choose
to focus on as main characters are not the ones I would always go with. It's
barely worth the time anymore. The great matches are almost meaningless because
I'm not captivated or invested. It's boldly becoming a task to watch.
The preshow matches were passable, but quick. I am a fan of both Fandango and
Adam Rose. I wish they would get a more serious look in terms of booking and
storyline use. I'm glad it seems the Funkadacktyl break up gets a little more
time creative closure.
The opener was the best match of the show. I don't like the Usos and think their characters are lame
and cartoony. Not even good cartoony. They are a damn decent team though. Rowan
continues to improve and Harper continues to impress. The matches between these
two teams have been hot matches. I want to see them in a cage or ladder match
before it's said and done.
The rest of the show was a bit of a time waster.
AJ and Paige don’t seem to mesh well. Swagger and Rusev was all hype and the match ended up being weak sauce. Jericho and Wyatt was the second best match on the show and it was damn forgettable. I like both guys a lot, but they didn’t hit the mark I expected them to. I didn’t even expect a whole lot, but I expected at least a B+ match. Maybe next time. The IC Title Battle Royal was okay. I’d have preferred to see someone new win the belt, but I have no big issue with Miz being champ. It’s a nice safe pick to go with the rest of the safe picks that have the belts. Speaking of which, there was a main event. The WWE World Title match was slowly paced with a quick turnaround. It came and it went. John Cena won and there was no hoopla or storyline developments. It was the same old-same old. Super Cena keeps the gold.
There was nothing about this show outside of the Tag Team Title match that was worth watching or caring about. The Network kept freezing up while watching so it was even worse of an experience. It was three hours or waiting for something to happen. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins did not get their match and just a few segments. That was a big ass bait and switch because it was the main match I wanted to see. If it hadn’t been booked for the card I’m not even sure if I’d have watched or had ANY expectations.
This show sucked. I don’t want to spend any more time on it. Moving on…
