So this "album" happened to me while in the midst of explaining to a girl online the "not so new" wonders of Youtube. I was showing her the Muppets version of Kanye West's Monster video, when all of a sudden I stumbled on a video entitled "Stuntin' Like Mufasa". Intrigue settles in. I enjoy said video and decide to go to Dj Do You's channel. There's a Stuntin Like Mufasa mixtape. I download it. Much to my amazement, this mixtape is a mash-up of hiphop vocals and Disney themed tracks.
Now, if you are in my life position, 33 year old man with 3 year old daughter, this will definitely appeal to you. I can not begin to express the countless hours I've spent with Disney songs lodged inside my brain. Tracks like The aforementioned Stuntin' Like Mufasa, not to mention MY personal favorite, Snow White Girl (a White Girl mash up with the 7 Dwarfs that features a Gold Digger portion of the song) and Rock The Boat Under The Sea (which I imagine is pretty self explanatory) makes this one of the BESt mash up mixtapes I've heard in a while.
My only wish was that certain favorite Disney songs were used. I'm thinking some sort of triple mash up with Fly Like a G6, I Stay Fly (Triple 6 MAfia), and You Can Fly from Peter Pan. Or maybe even something from the Pixar side of town. I suppose all can't be done on one album, so I expect more from this Dj in the near future. Thank you Dj Do You for making it possible that me AND my daughter can enjoy the stylings of LMFAO and Beauty & The Beast simultaneously. Make sure you check out the video to get a feel of my joy.
