Johnny Mac vs. Wah
Event: TOTAL CHAOS
Date: 01/04/02
Duration: 5:21
(*Audio Disclaimer: The audio is jacked up. It’s probably best to watch it with the audio up to a lower level. If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
Johnny Mac was a fan of MEW before we booked him. He went to a few months worth of shows before finally asking for a chance. I knew he was good and entertaining from his Chicagoland wrestling stuff so I had no problems bringing him in. I’m glad we did. He would stay with MEW until just about the end and was a solid hand. Sadly, his first match was against Wah. Wah was Twist’s alter ego. He put tape on his face and wore odds and ends for his gear. Thankfully we switched him to his normal name of Jeff Canaday and got him with Trent Lexington to form the best tag team ever, The Super Villains. Twist, Wah, whatever… he was on his way out. I think he quits in this match or something. I really can’t tell. Nothing here really makes sense, but it’s kind of fun to watch the same way a train wreck is fun to watch. Both men would go on to have much better matches and times. This one was kind of a dud.
