6 Man Elimination Tag Match
"The Super Villains" (Trent Lexington/Jeff Canaday/Scott Powers)
vs.
"Team Dammit" (Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson/GQ/Kenny Courageous)
Event: WRESTLE FEST 2
Date: 02/02/03
Duration: 11:23
This was fresh off the return of Trent, Jeff, and Powers. The show before, along with Showtime, Eddie Jacobs, and Kerisa, returned to MEW. Before this point, the only interaction between Trent, Jeff, and Powers were in the main event matches during the first three or four shows. This was their first match in MEW teaming up, but would go on to become one of the best tag teams in the company as “The Super Villains”. On the other side of the ring is Kenny Courageous, the dude who trained most of MEW and had been around the Midwest for a good while before, and Team Dammit members Willie “Da Bomb” Richardson and GQ. These two were from Windy City and at the time were just starting to venture out into the zillion promotions the Chicagoland area had at the time. They were obviously at a higher level than what we were accustomed to. They worked very well with everyone and there’s nothing bad to say about them. Willie will go down as one of my favorite non-MEW-Tang originals. This match was pretty good for MEW standards. It’s far from perfect, but for a spotty 6 man elimination you really can’t ask for much more.
