*North American Title Match*
(c) Criminal Rage vs. Trailer Park Trash Kid
Event: TOTAL CHAOS
Date: 01/04/02
Duration: 5:31
(*Audio Disclaimer: The audio is jacked up. It’s probably best to watch it with the audio up to a lower level. If you adjust a little, it works and you can still hear some commentary, the crowd, and the bump sounds. This is a horror of dealing with old VHS tapes. I suppose it’s good that I’m transferring these over to some form of digital copy before these tapes turn to ash or something. Sorry about that, but it’s still definitely worth checking out. *)
This was a fun match up. We see MEW Tag Team Champion, Trailer Park Trash Kid taking on MEW North American Champion, Criminal Rage. It’s the first match posted of either persona. Criminal Rage defeated Chayne Wylde for the North American Title the month before this and TPTK and Kasey Kincaid had the Tag Titles since the very first show. This is right around when the original MEW people were dropping like flies. This would end up being TPTK’s last MEW appearance, but I suppose it’s cool he went out in good light. Criminal Rage would lose the North American Title the next show in March of 02 and Kasey Kincaid would lose the Tag Titles on his own in April of 2002. Rage would change characters into Sabbath. We never said that “on camera”, but it was always obvious. Kane was Issac Yankem and Sabbath was Criminal Rage… it happens. Regardless of character this may have been his best match. After this, TPTK never came back. There were a few points the doors were opened but it never worked out. It was always a bummer because I really enjoyed his work. With some time and some polishing he could have done well in wrestling. No one would believe us now, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who'd still credit TPTK for mastering the 619 before Rey Mysterio. At the time, this was what MEW was all about.
